CORNWALL Cricket have released the draws for their various cup competitions ahead of 2018 season.
In the Clive Rosevear Insurance Hawkey Cup, which is the premier 20/20 competition for Eastern clubs in the county, champions Werrington have been given a bye in the first-round.
Just four Post area teams have entered with Premier League new boys Callington welcoming Division Two county champions Launceston for the right to travel to Werrington in the quarter-finals, while Division Three East side Tintagel face a trip to Menheniot-Looe, who play in the league higher. County Division?One winners Wadebridge will provide the opposition for the victors in the last eight.
The final will be hosted by?St Austell on Wednesday, July 4.
In the Eden Motorhomes Division Two T20 Cup, which comprises of four teams from the Eastern section and all 12 from Division Two West, relegated St Minver have been drawn in Group A with Grampound Road seconds, St?Austell seconds and newly-promoted Ladock.
Each side will play each other once with the top two from the four groups going through to the quarter-finals and then the Finals Day on Sunday, August 26.
The final knockout cup competition involving Post area teams is the Clive Rosevear Cup, which is for teams in Division Three East and below.
The first-round takes place on Thursday, June 7 with Launceston seconds given the toughest possible tie as they travel to holders Saltash Town, who’ve won the title for the last two years.
Whoever gets through that will welcome either Division Three East promotion hopefuls Tintagel or Saltash St Stephens.
In the other half of the draw, Werrington thirds have an awkward trip to last year’s Division Four East runners-up, Duloe with the winners travelling to Menheniot-Looe seconds or Liskeard in the quarter-finals.
The Finals Day will be played at Gorran on Sunday, July 22.
