SOUTH Petherwin Cricket Club held their annual dinner and presentation evening recently at Trethorne Leisure Park, giving players and club members the chance to reflect on the past season and award those who have performed well on and off the field.

There were plenty of trophies up for grabs and the winners were: Scott Sanders — youth player of the year, and evening league bowler of the year; Steve Drew — best batting performance 1st team 91 not out; James Causey — best batting performance 2nd team 100 not out; Paul Clements — best batting average 1st team 35.1, and best bowling average 1st team 23.39; Kevin Horrell — best bowling performance 1st team 5-31; Roger Gerry — best batting average 2nd team 30.2, and player of the year 2nd team; Phil Pridham — best bowling average 2nd team 17.82, and best bowling performance 2nd team 4-23; Adam Warne — player of the year 1st team, most improved player, and best batting in the evening league; Mike Townsend — lifetime achievement award; Mark Horrell — future club player; Taylor Gerry — future club player; and Lorraine Clements — club person of the year.
