BUDE won the Clive Rosevear Cup at Menheniot earlier this month for the first time in their history.
There was disappointment that Veryan had conceded on the eve of the final’s day, leaving Ladock with a bye to the final.
In the semi-final, Bude beat the reigning champions Lanhydrock by an impressive eight wickets with 13 balls to spare.
Jake Carter made 48 to dominate the Lanhydrock innings of 116 all out. Matthew Williams ended with 3-10 and 23 runs, Andrew De Rosa 32no, Matthew Mansbridge 21, and Gordon Wint 19no all batted well for Bude.
It was a similar story in the final with Andrew Wakeley’s 31no the mainstay of Ladock’s 91 all out.
Williams and John Blackburn took two wickets.
Man of the match De Rosa hit eight boundaries in his 40. Williams made 24 in a second wicket stand of 66.
Victory came with 16 balls to spare. Ashley Gates took 2-16.
