FRIDAY, June 8 saw the second instalment of 'Clash of the Clubs' for 2012.

Launceston Tennis Club was the holder and host on a day not for the faint hearted, as gale force winds gave the brave players plenty to think about. Despite the winds, a full field of soldiers lined up for the mini red and orange events.

As the day got under way, 10 mini reds challenged by the wind and each other saw a lone warrior as the last one standing — Isabelle Thorns from Launceston. The mini red and orange event went side by side as Louie Davey of Bude won a round robin competition.
