COUNTIES THREE CORNWALL

St Agnes 20 Launceston Castles 29

THE visitors rounded off an encouraging campaign with a bonus-point victory.

Launceston comfortably won the reverse fixture, but it was St Agnes who took an early lead within five minutes.

But it wasn’t long before it was all square as good play down the wing by Mark Knight and Dale Johnson ended with the latter crossing.

Launceston’s next try came through fly-half James Slater, and it was 17-5 as first team winger Archie Dinnis, who played at scrum-half and was named man of the match, dotted down after a driving maul.

With only a few minutes of the half remaining St Agnes came back to life and scored two unanswered tries.

They then took the lead soon after the restart, but that was as good as it got.

James Redwood made it 24-20 before Mike Reddan rounded off the scoring.

In the same division, Bude Seconds conceded their trip to Roseland.
