SUNDAY March 25 saw the first major open of the year at Bude and North Cornwall Golf Club, with a large field of 96 players.

The 4BBB King Cups was played in sunny conditions but with a testing wind.

Last year's winners came close to retaining their title scoring 46 points only to be beaten by George and Big Pete scoring 47 points.

The captain Dave Ward made his last presentation of the year before handing over to Charles Jenkins.
