LAUNCESTON have named an unchanged side for tomorrow’s Cornish derby with St Austell at Polson Bridge (3pm).

The All Blacks are seven points off top spot in Regional One West following last weekend’s 23-12 success at Exmouth, albeit having played a game more, but five of their final seven outings are at home.

The first of those is against a Saints side that have lost their last five matches and are now involved in a four-way battle with Ivybridge, Okehampton and Matson to avoid joining all-but certainties Weston-super-Mare in going down.

That said, the promoted club have picked up several bonus points, and are six points clear of second bottom Matson despite having played twice more.

Both Ivybridge and Okehampton also have seven games left and are one and four points behind respectively.

Launceston had a dramatic Saturday last week with the game being switched from Polson Bridge to the Imperial Ground due to a frozen pitch, but it didn’t stop them putting in an excellent performance which saw Cam Fogden score a hat-trick to add to Brandon Rowley’s opener.

That performance has been rewarded with the available-again Tom Bottoms and Glenn Coles starting on the bench.

They replace Pete Bebbington and Jamie Chapman respectively.

Of the starting team, flanker George Bone was named man of the match and keeps his place ahead of Bottoms, while Adam Collings also impressed on his second start of the season, and stays at nine with skipper Tom Sandercock lining up at ten.

The match is also the second leg of the Cornwall Super Cup semi-final with the winners facing Camborne later in the season.

Launceston ran out comfortable 35-20 winners at Tregorrick Park in October, and anything but a big away win will ensure a date with the Cherry and Whites.
