Bude 4
WITH Bude unbeaten this season they knew it would be a tough test against a well organised Camborne School of Mines side.
Bude settled well and put pressure on CSM from the outset.
Tammy Snowsill linked well with Emily Shepherd and Katharine Muller to release Cara Phillips down the right wing and her cross into the D found Charlotte Prime who slotted the ball home.
The lead was short lived as CSM found themselves in Bude’s D and after their first shot was saved, the follow up hit a defenders foot and they were awarded a penalty flick which was scored.
Bude didn’t lie down and they were dominant for the rest of the half and Charlotte Prime scored again before Anna Bury added the third from a short corner.
The second-half couldn’t have been more different. CSM became the dominant team, causing plenty of problems for the Bude defence of Chloe McGrath, Jemma Ball, Hannah Maloney and Grace Chan. With the constant pressure, it wasn’t long before the home side scored twice in quick succession to make it 3-3.
Bude rallied and again they took the lead with some hard work from Heather Mathews created the pass for captain Muller to score.
However a lapse in concentration allowed CSM to level just before the final whistle in a game, which swung one way, and then the other.

Falmouth seconds 1
BUDE picked up another home victory in a very one-sided contest with Falmouth’s seconds who took the lead early on.
In the early stages the hosts were dominant, but they were done on the counter attack when Bude’s defence were too high up the pitch and a long ball found Falmouth’s forward who drove into the home D and fired home.
Bude reacted well and mounted attack after attack led by the rampant midfield quartet of Cara Phillips, Heather Mathews, Emily Shepherd and Katharine Muller. It didn’t take long for Bude to equalise as Charlotte Prime deflected home a cross.
Bude’s defence of Jemma Ball, Hannah Maloney, Chloe McGrath and Grace Chan were easily able to repel any Falmouth forays into the opposition half while getting the ball forward into the midfield as quickly as possible who then created plenty of chances which were eventually taken.
Muller converted a short corner before Tammy Snowsill made it 3-1.
Bude were camped in Falmouth’s half as they created plenty of chances and Muller converted her second short corner before Anna Bury made it 5-1.
The second-half was all one-way traffic. But with Falmouth parking 11 players behind the ball chances were hard to find for Bude.
Zara Higham came close her shot went narrowly wide before Snowshill added her second.
The visitors did try to bring the ball into opponents half but Bude’s midfield and defence were to strong and on the counter attack their passing was fast and caused plenty of problems.
A seventh goal was scored near the end, as Charlotte Prime received the ball at the far post, went around the defender and then wrong footed the goalkeeper.
Next week, Bude face the long trip to Penzance, but will go there with confidence.
