EMILY Currie has been chosen to represent and captain the Great British Junior Team at the upcoming ISA World Junior Championships, and will be joined by fellow Bude surfers Kit Innes and Ellie Turner.
She is very honoured to be representing her country again having previously represented GB in the 2013 World Championships in Nicaragua.
18-year old Emily is the holder of 14 National titles including the current English Ladies Shortboard and Longboard Champion, British U18 Champion and UK U18 Tour Champion.
She also has spent the summer competing on the European Pro Junior Circuit, as well as her first year competing on the European Longboard Qualification Series Tour, ranking fifth, as the highest placed British woman and just missing out of qualifying to represent Europe on the WSL Longboard World Tour in China, later this year.
Emily flew out with the team on October 5 and the championships will commence on October 11/18 at Oceanside, California.
The Post wishes the team the best of luck.
