BUDE have drafted in experienced duo Jason Bolt and Will Kingdon for tomorrow’s trip to St Ives in Counties One Western West (2.30pm).

The Seasiders head to the West Cornwall coast looking to bounce back after successive defeats, but crucially are five points clear of second bottom Falmouth.

With the season reaching the halfway stage after tomorrow, Bude could do with some sort of reward, particularly as they make the even longer trip to Pirates Amateurs next weekend.

Bolt, who played at Championship level for Launceston, makes his first appearance of the season at hooker in the absence of Rory Mead, while Kingdon will beef up the second row as skipper Freddie Saxton switches to his natural number eight position.

That has allowed the influential Ben Hancock to be utilised at inside-centre as Bude look to give him plenty of ball.

Elsewhere around the team, club captain Chris Allin is back and starts at prop, while flanker Finley Fry and full-back Brad Thomas are also in.

Talented duo Harry Dymond and Will Pharo are among those missing.

BUDE at St Ives: Brad Thomas, Rory Hodges, Patrick Marks, Ben Hancock, Zerran Hammond, Olly Denford, Charlie Watton; Matt Williams, Jason Bolt, Chris Allin, Will Hockridge, Will Kingdon, Finley Fry, Lewis Jones, Freddie Saxton (capt). Replacements: Martin George, Luke Wilson, Jack Horwell.

Bude Seconds were hammered 80-0 at Wadebridge Camels Seconds last week, and the Seasiders will hope to put in a much-improved performance when St Agnes head to the North Cornwall coast.

Bude have won just once in ten outings, and have been on the end of some heavy defeats in recent games.

However, St Agnes aren’t pulling up too many trees themselves, so Andrew Sillifant’s side will hope to be competitive.

BUDE SECONDS v St Agnes: Mitch Acres, Cohen Larson, Harvey Cholwill, Phil Horton, Jay Coleman, Mark Beckly, Tom Drew; Darren Pilot, Andrew Sillifant, Joe Wickett, Bertie Seggons, Mike Jones, Beard Martyn, Matt Shadrick, Jordan Hill (capt). Replacements: Chris Heard, Tony Price, Sacha Palmer, Jake Weeks, Archie Brown, Ty O’Hagan.

The club’s ladies team are also in action on Sunday as they visit Topsham Tempest in Women's NC 2 South West (West) (2pm).

Bude grabbed a much-needed 12-0 victory over Devonport Services last time out, and will hope to show the defensive resilience they showed that day in Exeter.
