LAUNCESTON looked like running away with this match, with four tries and a bonus in a dominant first half that saw them leading 31-13 at the break.

Dings put in a spirited second half performance however, gaining control up front to score two late unanswered tries and secure a well deserved losing bonus point.

The home side dominated the opening quarter and after going close on a couple of occasions eventually opened the scoring on 13 minutes, when lock B J Chapman bundled over from a forward drive. Full back Kieron Lewitt added the conversion.
