IN ORDER to support the campaign to keep Bude Sea Pool open and thriving, Bude Youth Theatre are to re-stage their 2005 production of 'The Pool of Dreams' a play with songs which weaves local memories and stories around the history of Bude Sea Pool.

The group's director Richard Wolfenden-Brown said: "This is a play with a purpose — we hope that all who come to see it will then want to join the Friends of Bude Sea Pool.

"The pool was originally built for reasons of safety and health but it is now up to the local community to make sure it doesn't end up being closed due to the cost of necessary health and safety measures."

Back in 2005, members of Bude Youth Theatre researched the history of the pool from the opening day in 1930 to the events of 2005 when it very nearly closed for good.
