YOUNGSTERS?from nearby schools converged on Budehaven last week for a thrilling festival of football.

The event was hosted for Key stage 2 pupils and divided into two sections — one for Year 3 and 4 pupils, and the other for the older pupils from Years 5 and 6.

A total of 16 teams took part in the festival, which was aimed at giving them all an opportunity to play each other and focus on their games, rather than compete in a tournament.

The Budehaven Year 10 Sports Leaders met the pupils, warmed them up, guided them to the pitches for their games, and encouraged and supported them throughout.
