WITH the start of the South West Peninsula League football season now less than a week away, clubs have been busy preparing.

In this week’s Post Series, there’s a report from Camelford’s friendly at home to Okehampton Argyle along with thoughts from manager Reg Hambly who has also announced the captures of Tyler Cheshire and Jake Chafer.

Up at Holsworthy, they finally got their pre-season campaign underway last Tuesday night (July 19) with a visit from Western League Premier Division outfit Ilfracombe Town who eventually left Upcott Field with a 3-2 win.

Teenager Liam Martin scored Holsworthy’s goals and it was later announced that he had signed permanently. Hear from joint boss Ryan Hall on his latest recruit.

There’s also results from sides including Launceston, Bude Town and Callington Town, as well as Camelford’s 10-0 victory over Duchy League side Lanivet Inn.
