Sir, What has happened to the plaque/well which was in the Royal Gatehouse Hotel before re-building work commenced? The watering hole was the place where the deer of Deer Park got their water. In addition, there were tunnels from Clock House, under the Royal Gatehouse, and out to Hoyles Mouth. My mother, God rest her soul, told me that old man Gunter blocked up the entrance to Clock House tunnel, because he was afraid that children playing down there would come to grief.
