WITH church bells ringing and candles flickering, the atmosphere was set for Causley at Christmas, held at St Thomas Church, Launceston.
The event has been held each Christmas since Charles Causley, the internationally known Launceston poet, died in 2003.
Poems were read and carols were sung, all in a warm church filled with an eager audience.
Member of the Causley Society Jane Nancarrow said: "The heating was a legacy of Charles Causley, and with the candles in the holly on the window-sills it was a really lovely atmosphere for the evening."
