A VITAL cog in the community life of Launceston and district is need of YOUR help to raise £56,000. Launceston St John Ambulance, which provides cover at 150 events each year, needs the money to replace its 22-year-old Land Rover ambulance.

The spanking new fully-equipped 4x4 Land Rover Defender will cost £56,000 and St John are planning a major event in August to help you help them.

It is Launceston's 'Fire and Ice' Evening when participants can be sponsored to walk on burning coals or broken glass, or both!

Those taking part will be fully trained by an experienced company.
