THE Bude branch of the West Country Embroiderers recently held an embroidery exhibition at the Castle, Bude.

With nearly 800 votes, first place went to number 131, ‘Memories of our honeymoon on the Isles of Scilly’, taken from a photo of Tresco by Gill Everest.

Second place went to number 52, entitled ‘Six days of creation’ by Anne Going, and third place went to number 88 with ‘Three little girls’, from a photo taken in 1926, by Jill Bowden.
