SATURDAY, December 8 (tomorrow) will see the village of Delabole switch on their new Christmas lights.

The fun will begin around 6pm with mulled wine and mince pies for sale, alongside candy floss and sweets for the youngsters. There will be entertainment from North Coast Harmony giving their take on popular Christmas carols from 6.15pm.

The big switch-on will then be at 6.30pm.

The new lights committee took over the running of the lights in December 2017 and have been working hard all year raising funds and building new light structures.

They still have lots of ideas and things they would like to achieve in the coming years and would warmly welcome new members and ideas.

There will be an annual general meeting on Monday, January 21 in the Bettle and Chisel pub at approximately 7pm for any new people wishing to join and lend their support in any capacity.

The lights committee have extended thanks to all their generous sponsors this year, without whom this year’s display would not have been possible. They look forward to seeing everyone at the switch-on.
