A VACANCY has been published following the departure of Cllr Paul Crum from Bude-Stratton Town Council.

Mr Crum has left the council due to family and charity work commitments, Bude-Stratton Mayor, Cllr Amanda Tame thanked Mr Crum for his input to the council over recent years at the October full council meeting.

A vacancy has been publicised and 10 electors have written to Cornwall Council requesting an election.

The Notice of Election has now been published and prospective candidates have until the October 22 to hand deliver nomination papers to Cornwall Council. There are specific times and processes that must be followed and Cornwall Council have set aside one day when papers may be delivered to them at the Parkhouse Centre, Bude. If there is more than one candidate, there will be a by-election held on November, 18. This will be for electors living in the Bude Ward only and polling cards will be sent to those eligible to vote.
