PAUL Tilzey was unanimously co-opted back on to the Bude-Stratton Town Council at their latest meeting on Thursday, June 1.
Cllr Tilzey previously served as a town councillor for seven years but was late with his application and had to be co-opted back into the role.
However he is glad to be back, saying: “The committee structure within the council has changed for the better and therefore more councillors can have input to any committee and that is good.”
Cllr Tilzey is also looking to make sure that Bude return to owning their own assets, adding: “The devolution of assets that were the town’s back to the town from the county have to be a priority so that we, the town’s people, can raise the aspirations of the residents and visitors alike.”
Mayor, Cllr Peter Moores, was pleased to have Cllr Tilzey back on board.
Cllr Moores said: “I am delighted that Paul Tilzey is back on the town council. He has a wide breadth of knowledge regarding Bude’s history and I’m sure his input will be of great value for the council.”
