A STOURSCOMBE street light in Launceston, has been installed after more than two years of battling by councillors and the residents' association.
The light went in on a path by Chough Close in Launceston at the end of June, having been paid for by then-Cornwall Councillor Sasha Gillard-Loft from her highways budget back in 2012.
Les Whaley, chairman of Stourscombe Residents' Association, said: "After many meetings and phone calls, together with the help of our local councillors, I was pleased to see Cornwall Council's contractor install the new street light on the new path that was put in last June between the Redrow estate and Wainhomes estate."
