PUBLIC loos at Launceston and Callington are to be taken over by their respective town councils.
The future of public toilets has been secured — says Cornwall Council — after the two town councils agreed to take over running of their facilities.
Cornwall Council reached agreement with Callington and Launceston to hand over responsibility for the maintenance and cleaning of facilities in their areas.
As part of these early agreements, Cornwall Council says it will give a grant for the maintenance and cleaning costs and carry out capital improvement works on the facilities including installing energy and water saving measures to help cut future running costs.
