JOINT celebrations took place at Poundstock Gildhouse last week during the Tudor Experience Day.

The Grade 1 listed Gildhouse and Marshgate Women's Institute celebrated the publication of the new Gildhouse Guide book and the 64th birthday of the WI. Members took part in the popular Tudor Experience Day as their birthday treat, which coincided with the release of the guidebook.

Two years in the making, the book was a collaborative effort. The authors, Sandy Dingle, Dee O'Connell and Elizabeth Jones used research from architectural historian Dr J Mattingly to form the basis of the building's fascinating 450-year-old history.
