In the Date Cup at home to Kensey Vale, Stratton narrowly lost 28-34 for no points: Jill Fell, Joy Scott, Sandra Parker 17-18; Wendy Trenchard, Margaret Fox, Brenda Gunby 11-16.
Congratulations to Jill Fell, Brenda Gunby, Joy Scott and Sandra Parker on reaching the green final in the national Fours at Torpoint. Sadly they could not find the same form the following day at Bodmin and lost to a Saltash team.
In Stratton's annual game against the vice presidents, such was the interest in the game, that they managed, at the request of the VPs, to run 7 rinks. At the end of a grand day of bowls, in glorious sunshine, Stratton came out winners and retained the John Wilson Trophy.

In the Captains' Shield Stratton's team of T Darvill, D Bowden, G Maynard and D Parrott beat the Bude captains on their own green. Well done!
Stratton's 'B' team took on Bude 'A' and managed 1 point in a 46-57 loss: A Snowden, V Mancuso, J Connell, D Hooker 11-23; D Parrott, T Furminger, A James, M Sabel 16-18; H Pearse, K Smale, D Bowden, R Jennings 19-16.
In the Top Team at home to Liskeard Stratton went down 4-1. It did look at one point as if they would win 3-2 but they went down at the end: 2 wood singles, L Nagy 9-19; 4 wood singles, T Darvill 22-14; Pairs, C Gardiner, K Loadman 11-24; Triple, A Bround, M Moore, G Maynard 13-14; Rink, G Croud, J Cottle, J Gill, D Clark 13-21.
The 'B; team travelled to Bodmin and took on their 'B' team, and came away with 1 well earned point in a 45-56 loss: H Pearse, K Smale, L Fox, R Jennings 12-21; D Parrott, T Furminger, G Gunby, M Sabel 14-18; B Peardon, V Mancuso, J Connell, D Hooker 19-17.
At home against Kensey Vale the 'A' team gained 4 points in a 61-43 win: T Darvill, G Croud, C Gardiner, K Loadman 22-14; A Bround, M Moore, G Walter, G Maynard 20-9.
