WIDEMOUTH Task Force joined forces with members of the public on Saturday to plant Christmas trees on the beach at Widemouth.

The trees act as a natural windbreak to help keep sand off the roads, by creating a ‘fence’ around the sand dunes.

Over time, the trees become buried, which helps to build up the dunes and help to partly stabilise them.
