THE ladies of Bude Inner Wheel have been busy knitting 'Trauma Teddies' recently, to provide support for the area's youngsters in times of need. An Inner Wheel spokesperson said: "We have recently presented some of these teddies to Bude Ambulance Station and they will be kept on the vehicles ready to be given to any child in distress — either because they are ill themselves or maybe a parent or relative has had to go off in an ambulance and they are upset."

SUPPORT: Showing off some of the teddies, which come with their own brightly coloured bag, are Christian Brown (clinical support officer) and Jess Marsh (lead paramedic).
