TWENTY-FIVE enthusiasts took part in the vintage tractor run organised from Lawhitton Village Hall last month.

The weather was fair and organisers said they made a 'splendid sight' filling the village hall car park.

After cups of tea and bacon rolls, cooked and donated by Norman Lancaster, participants set off at 10.30am to drive around the area.

They arrived back at the village hall in plenty of time to discuss the run and the performance of their tractors over more tea and a pasty lunch before heading home.

The event was organised by Bill Browning of Lawhitton, with help from friends from the village.

After reporting there had been no breakdowns this year, thanking all the participants and the helpers Bill had the honour of awarding a commemorative cup for the 'best turned out tractor' to Brian Sharman with his Ferguson T20. All proceeds were donated to the village hall fund.
