FILMING has begun on a major feature film based on the tragic story of ill-fated yachtsman Donald Crowhurst.

Scenes are being shot by crews in and around Teignmouth with the seafront and streets being turned back in time to 1968.

Hollywood A-list stars – including Colin Firth and Rachel Weisz, who play Crowhurst and his wife – were in town for the shoot, which began on Monday.

Cameras have been at various locations in the town, including the back beach and pier as well as The Ness, Shaldon.
