FIVE new police constables for Holsworthy could be allocated if a new plan gets the go-ahead, writes Amelia Chubb.
The police team is currently made up of two constables, four police community support officers (PCSO) and a shared sergeant with Torrington.
Three PCs, officially described as multi-hybrid officers, could be appointed some time in the new year when the vacancies can be filled.
Sgt Pennie Channing from Holsworthy Police, said: "The plan is that the number of officers will go up to five, these are described as multi-hybrid officers who will respond to low level crimes."
