THE Furry Dance is held every year at Holsworthy’s St Peter’s Fair and is always a well-attended event that gets everyone tapping their feet.
The processions led from the Memorial Hall to the Square on Thursday, July 6, and through all the pubs.
The dance was led by the town band, which provided an excellent accompanying set of music. At the head of the dance were members of HATS, the Portreeve John Addicott and Pretty Maid Alice Banks.
The local Cubs and Beavers clubs joined in and many passers by were pleased to see this tradition was still being kept alive.
The day was finished off with a performance from Mad Dog Mcrea, a local favourite.
