CONSERVATIVES held all 18 seats on Haslemere Town council despite the best efforts of a dozen independent candidates as well as six Lib Dems and one Green candidate.
Six Tory town councillors, including some long-serving members, bowed out and eight new members were elected in Haslemere's five wards, which saw high voter turnouts ranging from 66.2 per cent to 75.6 per cent.
