A RACEHORSE from Lewdown has been awarded three of Devon and Cornwall’s point-to-point top awards.

Six-year-old Robin De Souza, owned by Tony and Eileen Worth from Lewdown, has won the Little Vanity Cup for leading novice horse, the Axminster Carpets Cup for leading horse and the GK Probert Cup for leading owners.

The presentations recently took place at the Continental Hotel in Plymouth, and Robin has previously won five races during the past season.

The Devon and Cornwall region is one of the strongest areas in the country, and so these wins are an ‘incredible achievement’.

Robin is trained by Dean and Emma Summersby at their yard, Little Acres in Kellacott, near Lifton.

Although only a small yard, the Summersbys have had many winners in the past.
