THE Launceston 'A' team of Ruth Cornish, Hayley Frayn, Helen Davies and Sarah Statton defeated St Austell 'B' very convincingly to ensure they remain at the top of the league.

Helen and Sarah beat their first pairing 6-2, 6-3. Meanwhile on the other court Ruth and Hayley lost a close battle 7-5, 6-4. So at the half-way point it was all even, but it did not stay that way for long. Helen and Sarah won their second match 6-2, 6-1. Ruth and Hayley won 7-5, 6-2.
