THE owners of a Tintagel store were determined to not let snow get in the way of keeping their shelves stocked — so they arranged for their delivery to be left four miles away!
In the recent snowy weather and icy driving conditions, it was impossible for the Spar lorry to deliver to the village.
So proprietors Simon Harrison and Julie Keenan, arranged for their delivery to be left at the Spar shop in Delabole, some four miles away.
The retailers then took four trips in a 4x4 vehicle to Delabole and back in order to collect the produce.
Julie said: "Our village is quite isolated and we were experiencing a heavy demand from our customers in the conditions, so it was essential we got hold of our delivery as soon as possible."
The dedicated actions of the staff meant that the Spar shop was fully stocked and customers were supplied with all their requirements.
