SIXTY Year 5 and 6 pupils from Tintagel and Delabole Schools, and their teachers, visited the Bodmin and Wenford Railway, replicating the experience of evacuee children of 70 years' ago.

Wearing the clothes of the day, equipped with gas mask cases, packed lunches, and luggage labels attached, they travelled the length of the line from Bodmin General to Bodmin Parkway and Boscarne Junction, behind a genuine 1940s steam locomotive.
