CAMELFORD Town Council is able to move forward with the take-over of the library, having achieved the General Power of Competence.

This require the council to have two thirds of its councillors as elected members.

At the May 16 meeting, the council needed to exert the General Power of Competence if they wished to continue with its bid to run the library.

Having achieved the number of members elected, this was proposed by Cllr Kirsty Ferguson, seconded by Cllr Alan Burgis, and all voted in favour.
