Bude played Okehampton in another friendly on April 3, this was another win for Bude by 4½ to 1½ . The team was I Butler & A Fenson, Y Brandwood & A Houghton, M Hopgood & R Sykes, M Keech & R Clarke, P Schofield & P Wells, J Downes & Y Gardiner.

Bude ladies played their second league match against Newquay on April at home 17. This resulted in a win by 4-3, the team was Collette Burgess, Sally Watson, Sheila Hynes, Nancy Bailey, Jill Britton, Sue Kershaw and Sheila Phillips.

Bude played their third round match of the Mail on Sunday against St Enodoc at home. The sun shone and the match came down to the wire with Bude losing by 3-2. The team was Jean Pearce, Suzanne Courtenay, Annie Quarter-maine, Jill Britton and Collette Burgess.
