BUDE Coastguard Rescue Team was asked to respond to reports of a person cut off by the tide at Crooklets beach in Bude over the weekend.

On Sunday, the team were paged at 3.25pm to assist a person who had been cut off by the tide at Crooklets beach. This was one of three shouts in the space of five hours that day.

As the team were mustering at the station, word was received that the casualty was safe and well, and no longer in need of assistance. The team were duly stood down.
