The ladies of St Teath WI joined forces to start the fundraising campaign which will lead to the village replacing its ageing community bus with a new one.
The challenging target which needs to be reached is £25,000 and the money raised by a coffee morning in St Teath Community Hall is just a start.
The morning was more than just mugs of coffee, there was a splendid raffle; a wonderful pasty and cake stall; treasure hunt; sweets in a jar and a book and bric-a-brac stall.
As always these wonderful stalls were made possible by the generosity of those who brought prizes and did the baking as well as the selling and the serving of coffee.
Such was the success that, in less than two hours, £250 was raised and donated to the fund. The bus committee have extended their thanks to all those that attended and those who worked so hard.
