THE Bude and District U3A creative drama group thoroughly entertained the members with their summer production called ‘Senior Moments Variety Show’ on July 21.
Devised and produced by Linda Hull, the cast showed not only their talent, but also enjoyment in presenting this quirky little play.
Set in the ‘Bellylaughs Retirement Home’, the audience were introduced to the various characters by clever banter, dance, song, skits and lots of laughter.
The act called ‘3 Minute Warm-Up’, reduced everyone to uncontrollable laughter when it turned into something similar to the classic 1990’s television sitcom, Absolutely Fabulous.
Meanwhile, all the groups of the U3A have been very busy again in July.
The gardening group had a wonderful day out at Arundell Garden in Crantock, with a fantastic lunch in the village pub.
The rocks and ruins group also had a successful day at Morwellham Quay with equally as good weather and lunch.
There are also many other groups within the U3A with something for everyone.
The next meeting is on Thursday, August 18 at the Parkhouse Centre at 2.30pm where Jane Moore will talk about The Purple Angel Campaign. New members are extremely welcome.
The next coffee morning is on Friday, August 5 at The Weir Cafe from 10.30am–12.30pm where you can meet members of the committee who are more than happy to answer any questions you may have about The Bude and District U3A.
