THE annual Bude Bike Ride has raised £330.50 in funds for the Friends of Bude Sea Pool charity.

The bike ride saw over 60 participants get involved, all dressed in this year’s fancy dress theme of Disney characters.

Starting at the Bencoolen Inn on July 23, the course lasted 13.5 miles with 13 different stops through Bude, Widemouth, Marhamchurch, Stratton, Poughill and back to Bude again.

The event was attended mostly by locals, but also attracted guests from all over the country, with a strong Exeter contingent.

This year’s bike ride was organised by Josh Allen, Richard Wood and Martin Smith.
