May I, through The 'Post,' on behalf of the Trustees of The George Appeal, express sincere thanks to the Launceston Charity Fund-raisers for their donations to our appeal.

The Fundraisers raise the money through Bingo nights and earlier this year the group became a charity.

Since gaining charity status, they have doanted £1,700 to local Launceston-based charities and organisations. Those who have been fortunate to receive a donation include St Stephen's Unit, St. John Ambulance, Launceston CP School PTA, St Thomas Playgroup, Downing Day Centre, The Memory Cafe, The Eventide Trust and of course, The George Appeal.

If other charities or organisations would like to apply for a donation for their cause, they can do so by telephoning Mr George Logg, who is the chairman of the group on 01566 775861.

ital recently to raise funds for our appeal —the sum of £4,215.50 was raised and at the time of writing the appeal stands at £33,000.
