JAMIE Duckworth, whose car was allegedly damaged after using the Tesco car wash, received a pleasant surprise from John Homewood of R H Motorsport in Launceston last week, when he kindly offered to repair her car, free of charge.

After using the car wash, Jamie was horrified to find that circular brushes had scratched the paintwork on the rear panels and these would need to be professionally polished out (as reported in last week's 'Post').

Jamie carried out a formal complaint to Tesco who, after checking the machine, denied the car wash caused the damage and would not pay for the work to be done, which could have cost around £100.

Subsequent to seeing the story in the Cornish and Devon Post, John spoke to Jamie and offered to carry out the work that needed to be done free of charge. He believed it was unfair that if Tesco wouldn't help her, she would have to pay for the repair.
