A highlight of the tennis calendar is Wimbledon and Tenby Tennis Club was delighted again to be able to take a group up to watch some fantastic tennis at this famous venue.
The children aged between eight and 16 were excited despite the very early start and the anticipation in the minibus grew with every passing mile.
We arrived in time to take our seats in Court 1 and watch Andy Murray play great tennis to go through to the next round. We also saw Petra Kvitova and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga both win their matches in great style. We were also lucky enough to have two tickets for centre court and took turns to watch Sabine Lisicki followed by the wonderful Roger Federer. We were then treated to the incredible display by Dustin Brown to beat Rafael Nedal. It was a truly wonderful day and every one of our party were thrilled to have been able to watch such terrific tennis in such a magnificent setting.
All the children behaved extremely well and were a credit to Tenby Tennis Club on this exhausting and exciting day out and we returned to Tenby in the early hours with a few souvenirs, some fantastic memories and hopefully a few tips too!
