On Saturday, clubs within Tarka Group of Young Farmers travelled to The Parkhouse Centre, Bude, to compete in the Drama, 5 Minutes of Fame, Senior Ambassador of the Year and Junior Member of the Year Competitions.
Opening the stage Louella Eke from Woolsery, sang and played the guitar as part of 'Five Minutes of Fame'. Additional to this, Chris, Nick and Richard Harding, also from Woolsery, performed an entertaining and extremely energetic combination of dances.
Both 'Five Minutes of Fame' will go forward to represent Tarka Group at the Devon County round. Along with these performances, members aged 16 and under and aged 17 to 26 competed in the Junior Member of the Year and Senior Ambassador of the Year.
This competition included members being interviewed by a judging panel and the Senior's also being asked two questions on stage.
The overall placing for Senior Ambassador of the Year, first Sarah Bellew from Buckland Brewer; second Todd Riggs from Bradworthy and third Chris Harding from Woolsery and for Junior Member of the Year Chloe Wonnacott from Clawton, picked up first place, second place went to Jasmine Sanders from Woolsery and third place to Ben Hutchings from Shebbear.
Five clubs took to the stage to compete within the Drama competition and put on some excellent performances.
Bradworthy presented their drama 'A Fishy Business'; Clawton 'The Dog Sitters'; Woolsery 'Lending a Hand; Buckland Brewer 'Couples' and Winkleigh 'Night Life'.
There was great support from family, friends and fellow members to watch what was a fantastic night of amusing dramatic performances with cast numbers ranging from ages two to sixteen.
The competition was extremely close with first place going to Clawton with their performance
entitled 'The Dog Sitters', followed by Woolsery in second place and
Bradworthy third.
Francene Hutchings Secretary for Tarka YFC said: "The evening was a great success with thanks to the judging panels, backstage assistance and the stewarding clubs."
Clawton's Drama, Woolsery's 5 Minutes of Fame, Sarah Bellew and Chloe Wonnacott will be going to the Devon County round this Sunday (February 28) at The Palace Theatre, Paignton to represent Tarka Group.
