TRACEY Langman's family and friends raised £2,000 for the North Devon Chemotherapy Appeal by organising a 20-mile sponsored swim at 1610 Holsworthy Leisure Centre.
Tracey is a patient at the chemotherapy unit and her family and friends were determined to raise as much money as they could to show their support to Tracey and raise funds for the new unit.
People who took part were Kieran Langman, leisure centre organiser Ryan Hall, Vicky Palmer, Bynley Langman, Nigel Palmer, Rhiannon Langman and Abby Palmer, Millie Palmer, Kenny Hayle and the Baker family. Ryan Hall organised and supported the event.
The chemotherapy appeal has now raised £1.88-million towards its £2.2-million target thanks to the overwhelming support of the people of North Devon, and the build will start in early spring.
The chemotherapy appeal still needs lots of support to reach the target. For further information visit http://www.northdevonhealth.nhs.uk/fundraising">www.northdevonhealth.nhs.uk/fundraising contact the team on 01271 311772 or [email protected]">[email protected]
