TSB has chosen Bude Surf Life Saving Club as the bank's first Local Charity Partner for Bude.

The partnership was unveiled earlier this month by bank manager Melanie Dymond, who presented the charity with a £100 donation from TSB to kick-start their partnership at the Bude branch.

Instead of having a centrally chosen Charity of the Year, TSB Partners across Britain are empowered to recognise local causes which share the bank's passion for helping communities thrive. Bude Surf Life Saving Club was nominated for the work it does in the community of Bude to prevent loss of life and to patrol the local beaches.

By becoming a Charity Partner, Bude Surf Life Saving Club will benefit from fundraising activities by TSB Partners working in Bude. In addition, TSB is also encouraging its Partners to spend a day, when they would normally be working, out in their community supporting their Local Charity Partner with their time and/or skills.

Bude Surf Life Saving Club was selected from a shortlist of charities nominated by local TSB customers and Partners. TSB's branch in Bude will now aim to raise as much money as possible for them throughout 2015 to support the work the charity does in the local community.
