THE Holsworthy Army Cadet Force (ACF) was pleased to again give support to the Holsworthy and Stratton Agricultural Show.

During the day, a team of cadets managed the gates, the main arena and acted as eyes on the ground for the organisers reporting any problems via radios.

After the show the cadets returned once again to clear all the car parks and the showfields of litter and were treated to lunch by the organisers.

Detachment commander Lt Jim Harvey said: “Volunteering for community events allows cadets to work towards completion of their army training badges and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (volunteering), and opportunities like the Holsworthy Show are well supported.”

Holsworthy ACF parades on Monday evenings from September 4, at Holsworthy Community College, and is open to young people from 12 years and up.
