ORGANISERS of the 125th annual Launceston Show were pleased that the weather was 'on their side'. During the morning of the show, some ominous dark clouds had made an appearance and Julian Stanbury, director of the showyard, said: "Apparently it has rained in Lewannick — which is close enough!" In his ninth year as chairman, Robert Tucker said: "It has been an extremely busy day and a very busy week, but it's been a blessing that the weather has been spot-on for the preparation before and on the day."
